Circuit Facts™ is designed to help renters organize and preserve important housing information while keeping privacy and security central to how the platform is built.
Your Housing Record is your record.
Your Housing Record may contain important information.
Housing Records may include rental information, photos, move-in and move-out documentation, repair records, notices, communications, rental charges, incident records, and uploaded documents.
Circuit Facts is designed to treat substantive Housing Record information differently from ordinary website content and general product analytics.
Privacy is part of the product architecture.
Circuit Facts is designed to collect and use information for defined product purposes and to minimize unnecessary collection of Housing Record information.

General product analytics should be limited to information needed to understand how the platform is being used, such as feature interactions, controlled event types, counts, and conversion events. Substantive Housing Record content is not sent into general analytics.
General analytics exclude, where applicable:
- street addresses and unit information
- landlord or property-management identities
- renter notes and narratives
- repair descriptions
- communications
- notices
- evidence or file contents
- original filenames
- lease contents
- custom labels containing user-entered information
- dispute narratives
- legal narratives
Access is designed around your Housing Record.
Circuit Facts uses account authentication and authorization controls to help restrict access to Housing Records and associated information. Ownership and permission checks happen on the server — not only by hiding controls on the screen.
If you choose to work with a legal aid advocate or a mediator, you decide which Housing Record they can view, and you can revoke that access at any time.
Access to administrative functions should follow least-privilege principles and be limited to authorized operational purposes.
How we're building security into Circuit Facts
Account & Access Protection
Accounts are protected with authentication, and record access is checked on the server. Circuit Facts is implementing additional account protections as the platform grows.
Private Housing Record Access
Housing Record files are kept in private storage. Files are served through short-lived links that require an access check, and row-level access rules restrict records to the account that created them and to authorized administrators.
Data Protection
Uploaded evidence and documents are stored in private storage rather than shared as public links. Analytics are limited to interaction details, such as controlled event types and counts.
Secure Development
Circuit Facts is building secure development practices into how the platform is designed, changed, and reviewed.
Security Logging & Monitoring
Error logs are limited to messages and do not include Housing Record content. Circuit Facts is implementing logging and monitoring practices to detect and investigate issues.
Backup & Recovery
Circuit Facts is developing documented practices for backup and recovery.
Vendor Security
Circuit Facts is building its security program around reviewing the service providers the platform relies on.
Incident Response
Circuit Facts is implementing processes to respond to, document, and learn from security and privacy issues.

Circuit Facts maintains a developing security program addressing areas including access control, data protection, secure development, logging and monitoring, incident response, business continuity, vendor risk, privacy, and security governance.
Circuit Facts uses recognized security frameworks as reference points for developing and evaluating its security program. Internal controls can be mapped, for readiness purposes, to frameworks including the NIST Cybersecurity Framework 2.0, the SOC 2 Trust Services Criteria, and ISO/IEC 27001.
This mapping is a readiness activity, not a certification, audit, or statement of compliance. Circuit Facts does not claim certification under any of these frameworks.
Internally, Circuit Facts tracks its controls, owners, and review schedules in a private security control register. The register itself is not part of this public page.

Circuit Facts does not use a renter's Housing Record to determine legal rights, predict the outcome of a housing dispute, determine who is legally responsible, or guarantee an outcome.
